Park Care 24/7 Centre / Sorgsentrum

Park Care Centre provides 24/7 frail nursing care for up to 300 dependent individuals, mainly older chronically sick or frail people. It offers comprehensive holistic chronic 24-hour residential nursing care and palliative end-of-life care. The centre also runs a free home-based care programme in the Vrededorp community for vulnerable elderly. Services include professional nursing by nursing managers, sisters, staff, enrolled nurses, and care workers for conditions like frailty, cancer, brain injuries, diabetes, hypertension, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, stroke, dementias, and post-operative care. Social work involves counseling, group therapy, and support for residents and families. Spiritual welfare includes church services, Bible study, and prayer meetings. The centre operates as a non-profit with 61 years of service since 1961.
