Eden Park Retirement Village

At Eden Park Retirement Village in Kuils River, Cape Town, we provide all our residents with a safe, caring and homely community to retire in.

We offer Independent Living on life rights (capital or instalments), in either garden cottages or face-brick units, set on our beautiful 4-acre property, as well as Assisted Living, Frail Care and Dementia facilities, overseen by our professional management and nursing teams.

For over 30 years, we’ve been a family-run retirement village with a simple philosophy – our community of residents and staff is built on respect, love, hospitality and compassion. We serve everyone in our care to ensure they enjoy growing older with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Independent living is for those who are not in need of nursing care and can still look after themselves, their home and their garden. Independent residents still manage their own shopping, many can still drive on their own to appointments… Eden Park provides Independent Living options in garden cottages and face-brick homes, on a Life Rights basis. You can secure your home through an upfront capital payment in full, or easy monthly instalments.

Our large, all en-suite Frail Care rooms are well-appointed with expert nursing care and nutritious meal options. If you or your loved one is in need of further care than what is described in Assisted Living, then Frail Care is best for you. Our professional nursing team is on site 24-7 to look after our Frail Care residents under the supervision of our Matron. Our daily activities encourage movement, participation and stimulation of our residents. All meals are provided by our own on-site kitchen.

If you’re in need of limited assistance, but not full-time nursing care, our Assisted living option may be right for you. This means you are able to walk, eat meals in the dining room and use the bathroom unassisted. However, you may need help with medication administration and the preparation of meals. Our nursing team is on hand to ensure you are in overall good health, with organised activities to keep everyone busy in mind and body. All our assisted living rooms are en-suite and monitored by our nursing staff and are part of Eden Park’s main building. All meals are provided by our own on-site kitchen.

Eden Park also offers short-term care options for those needing a loved one looked after for a limited time. Leave your parent or partner with us for a day, a week or an extended period of time in a fully-furnished room in our Frail Care and under full-time supervision from our wonderful team. This will give you, the caregiver at home, a chance to recharge and have some free time, with the peace of mind of knowing your loved one is getting the care they need.
