Alberton Caregivers Pty Ltd was established in June 2021 after the founder was moved by a Facebook post about an elderly woman who was frail, neglected, abused, and living in poor conditions. The company aims to protect elderly people in similar situations, make them feel worthy, and ensure they are not seen as a burden. It provides assistance to families who cannot care for their elders at home, such as after operations or for companionship and daily chores. The founder obtained a certificate in Alzheimer's and Dementia care to better support their mother and others, and later studied caregiving to earn a diploma. The goal includes training others in Alzheimer's and Dementia courses to address the lack of knowledge about the disease. In-house training is provided to team members and family members for optimal elderly care.
